"Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
-John 8:12
March is gone & April is finally here, right along with spring. I have to say, March has been my best month since this year started. I had my first spring break trip with friends in South Beach, Florida, I made A's in both of my first quarter classes, became serious about my diet and exercise routine & lost weight, graduated from Barbizon, then signed official papers to model for the New Faces Division & The Label Agency, & received a $35 giftcard to best buy.
There were a couple of highlights such as meeting a new friend whom I met on South Beach, then continuing our friendship back home, since they live here as well. Also, I spent more time with my family, laughing & living the simple good life as usual. Then there is the Trayvon Martin case which has become bigger than life since the beginning of March. I attended two rallies on his behalf, one at the State Capitol in Georgia & the other at Clark Atlanta. I won't go too much into detail on my feelings with that case. I'll just save that for another post.
I also came across a new favorite color - coral or salmon as some people call it. I really love how that particular color has blossomed in the fashion industry & has become a household color for the spring & summer.
Overall, March was an awesome month. I created a few goals & accomplished every last one. I hope April not only brings more beautiful weather, but more blessings as well. I am so ready for this amazing life God has set out for me.
