life | isaac's birthday

hello world!
man, has life been crazy these past two months, but i'll save all of those details for my next post. i haven't done a "life" post in a while, where i share little moments (good & bad) that have been going on in my life. this past sunday i celebrated a new friend's birthday. his name is isaac & i met him through my best friend stephanie (the girl standing next to me holding her son as we laugh at isacc's cake covered face).
it was nice to be around new faces. lately i have become so tired & annoyed with the same routine of people, places & things that this was quite refreshing. to my surprise it was his sister's birthday as well. they were born the same day a year apart (crazy right)?! isaac & his cousin cooked a huge meal, which was extremely delicious (definitely forgot about that "diet" i was on).
i'm sure none of you know this, but my family is part mexican as well. so if it's one type of food i love to eat a lot, it's meeeeeeeexican! ha ha. stephanie bought him two cakes, in which the one his face got plummeted in had "happy birthday big papa" written on it. lol. irma was the one who mushed his face in the cake. & now that i think of it, his face had to be freezing. it was chocolate ice cream cake - yikes!
overall, it was a great night. met some really cool people, had amazing yummy food & didn't feel awkward or out of place. i tell you, virgos do it best!
