✿favorite pandora stations for cardio✿

i have to admit, if it wasn't for pandora i would be missing out on a lot of great music. i've had pandora on my blackberry and ipod for almost 3 years now, but i've only taken advantage of this beautiful application for about a year. i got so tired of listening to the songs i downloaded that i decided to use pandora for once. once i selected an artist i like, the next song would be by an artist i've never heard of before and then without realizing i'm obsessed with them immediately afterwards. that's sort of what happen to me finding calvin harris. when rihanna's "we found love" hit the music waves, i went insane when i heard that track. but then i was like, "who is calvin harris?" then i did some research and found out he is a dj.

that led to me searching his name on pandora. i listen to his station so much that i now know every song he has created (original and remix versions). i even came across songs i already knew, but didn't know he was the dj behind the amazing track.

♡ -- Calvin Harris: this station has a lot of fast pace beats that are awesome while running.

♡ -- Chris Brown: although he has done a lot of R&B songs, ever since f.a.m.e i've come to love working out to most of his songs. especially "beautiful people" which is one of my favorite tracks to run to.

♡ -- Disco: the disco station is filled with old school music by k.c. & the sunshine band, chic, cheryl lynn, earth, wind & fire, rick james and many other great artist. one night i just felt like listening to some music my grandparents love dancing to & to my surprise i would have never thought it was considered disco music. this station has been on my phone for about 5 months now...love it.

♡ -- Florence + The Machine: "dog days are over" was the first song i ever heard by florence + the machine. i fell in love with the loud abrupt song and it makes me happy every time i hear it. recently i decided to search just for this group & when i heard all their other songs, i started downloading them permanently to my phone. i am a late fan, but i really enjoy working out & cleaning my apartment to their songs.

♡ -- Waka Flocka Flame: when i feel like going hard in the gym, i need unrated, obnoxious, loud bass music. waka seems to be the perfect match for that, lol. a lot of people say that he makes violent music, and i must say that it can be pretty violent at times. his music gives me a rush while working out & my two favorite tracks are "round of applause" & "bussin' at 'em."

-- More Information:

-- if you're not familiar with pandora there are two versions; free and paid. the free application you   can only skip 6 songs per station. after that you've reached your limit for that station. you can always delete & reselect the station to be able to skip some more. or you can shut pandora down & reopen to restart a station.
-- you can pay (or upgrade your account) for pandora and be able to skip as many songs as you like. there are some other perks to actually paying for pandora, but honestly just use the free version.
-- you can access pandora online too, if you want to hear music coming from your computer.
-- just like twitter, people can follow you on pandora. i don't see the purpose, but whatever makes you happy, lol.
