since graduation life has been moving like a turtle, & i am loving every minute of it. very few work hours & zero homework. the only pressure i have been under is getting my grad school documentation together, which i got done in a week. last tuesday my degree was finally conferred & all of my recommendation letters had been turned in. i was notified last friday after almost yanking out all of my hair that my interview was scheduled yesterday! i was worried about not having my interview (which means i would not be able to start class in the spring), but sure enough admissions called & said i would be having it monday (yesterday) at 2PM. i was told that if they decide to interview you, then pretty much you're in. it's just the faculty wants to ask a few more questions in person to get to know you.

because i am currently working in the department i applied for, i am a familiar face. so my interviewer has known me for a little over a year (huge advantage). was i nervous? no. i was just anxious to get it over with so i'd know if i had class that day or today! because tuesday & thursday classes are full, i ended up interviewng, getting accepted & attending class all in the same day. i am super excited & ready to continue my education so i can be a licensed associate professional (lapc) in about 4 years! 

on to the outfit...

anyhow, i wore this outfit friday to hang with a friend & run errands. it was such a blah rainy day & i really wanted to wear my new rain boots. instead i chose to wear my new xoxo blouse & blazer, in which i purchase both on a super good deal. when i came across the blazer, the color palette took me by surprise, especially since the back of the blazer is leather. it's like rock star meets corporate all in one blazer. immediately when i saw xoxo, i figured it would be somewhere between $30 - $60, but i got it for less than $20 (ross is the best). the blouse i found randomly between other tops & this was the only one of its kind that i found. i didn't realize until i pulled up the pictures that i wore the wrong black jeans. these are sort of "ashy," & i thought i had on my old navy rock star jeans which are completely black. oh well. next time i'll pay more attention. hope you enjoy :)
