during a crazy shopping spree in dollar tree, i purchased about 20 books & lace was one of them. as i always do when buying books, i read the back and skim through a few pages to see if i will be interested. i decided that lace would most likely be good & it turned out to be better than i expected. just like love always (which is from the same publisher), it's an contemporary african american romance. this book was way more additive than love always. it talks about the love between two individuals who had it all before, but ended up losing that passion. damien christoval is definitely the hero of the book & comes into lacey's life at a vital moment. she's been crushed to pieces in a previously relationship & looks to her best friend daniel as support & a shoulder to cry on.
i still don't see how they both felt love at first site. it was as if god sent them out in the world just at the right time to find each other. i definitely give this book 5 stars. it not only shows love from different view points, but it touches on family and the meaning of letting others help you, even if you fill like you never need it. definitely a must read.
